• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

the Virtavia (formerly AlphaSim)B-36 Peacemaker and B-58 Hustler are no longer available on the FS Pilot Shop. I wonder if these will eventually be made available as freeware?

I guess it was a few months ago that someone else bemoaned the loss of the Peacekeeper in the FS 9 forum. There's been no sign of either that I know of in the freeware page.

I've never flown the Hustler, but I enjoy the B-36 from time to time. Replicating the over the pole flights from Carswell Air Base over to Thule Air Base in Greenland is interesting. Dead reconing navigation in the high latitudes can get kind of dicey.

It's probably time to get out my DVD of "Strategic Air Command" with Jimmy Stewart and watch that great footage of the Peacekeeper again.

Hi Jag,

Have you tried to convert the B-36 for use in CFS2??? I got to see the one displayed at the Dayton Air Museum some years ago, it was gigantic!
