Jackie Gleason, Nixon, and aliens. Really?

I had heard about this story years ago but as with any UFO tale I kinda took it with a grain of salt as it were and as said in the article,we will be waiting for many more years before the Gov't admits to anything involving a cover-up. Very interesting story though.......
 
I've believed in the existence of UFO's and ET's since I was a kid and read 1950's TV personality Arthur Godfrey's description of a UFO sighting while he was flying. Art was an experienced aviator and I thought he had a good degree of credibility. You'd think that with all the picture-taking cellphones and digital cameras around nowadays, somebody would get a nice clear image or video of a UFO but most of what you see is still no better than pics from 40-50 years ago.
 
Years ago, like 15 years ago, I was working a body guard / stakeout detail for this old lady that lived out in rural eastern Washington and I was assigned to hide on her property and watch for this guy that had two strikes against him and he had made death threats against her. I worked the detail for several nights, waiting. On one night, it was late, I was on my cell talking to my dispatcher out in the middle of an open area next to the house when, as I was talking, the whole area around me lit up like daylight.. Initially I thought it was a helicopter, but at the time there were no law enforcement choppers in this particular region and I remember it being deadly quiet.. The house was lit up, the surrounding buildings and barns were lit up and then all of a sudden the light shut went dark and there was nothing but dead silence.
