Japanese WWII Aircraft For FSX

Flyboy208

SOH Staff
In light of the new fantastic Solomon Islands scenery, I find that FSX both IJN and IJA aircraft are few and far between, both payware and freeware ... that being said, I know that many here scour all of the international FS websites for all sorts of stuff .... would love to know what is available and worth flying ... Loving Piglet's Shinden and Raiden .... so what else is out there ? Mike :salute:

i would love to see a Freeware Zero or a Val or a Kate!! even a Betty Bomber in FSX

Just Flight has a nice Zero.
A2A has one in their WW2 fighters pack if you can find it.
And thats about it as far as I know.

Erik Hertzberger and A.F. Scrub converted a lot of japanese CFS2 Aircraft to FSX, some of them are real nice. Some need adjustment for prop textures or the usual alpha channels of glass.
Just do a search on the authors on Simviation et al.

Cheers,
Mark

Roland,

Have you ever tried the 2008 version of his Zero in FSX and the Hiens he did in 2007?

These are stunningly detailed models but hardly flyable in FS9. Which is the reason I never tried them in FSX.

Cheers,
Huub

Tim ("Piglet") Conrad made at least two beautiful ones for FSX: A J2M3 Raiden and a Kyushu J7W1 Shinden. Both free, of course, from the Tim Conrad factory.

Yes Huub

Fly both of them (1 Zero as I have the A2A too and all Hien's) but I had to cheat on air file (off A2A for Zero and 109K4 on Hien) to get them somewhat going

So heavy tweaks also on aircraft.cfg's and panels too

Then again MUCH better then nothing

Roland

There are also great ones overher by thilo Haecksel (or so)
