JetCamVideo: Atlanta Pushback

I did this one to show the pushback procedure off of the gate, however, it turned out to be one of the shortest taxis you're ever going to see in Atlanta so I left some of the take-off in it. We left at an off peak time at the airport so it was quick, but usually it's about a 20 to 30 minute taxi ordeal with another 30 to 40 planes...and that's in clear weather! We got sooo lucky.

Matter of interest, how are ground traffic conflicts controlled - is everyone on the same wavelength?

They're crazy kamikaze bag cart drivers! I just give them space, and so would you. :)

There are designated roadways for ground traffic, and they're supposed to give way to planes. We stopped just prior to the roadway because we had a frequency change to the north ground controller, and hadn't got clearance to taxi beyond the roadway. When the carts see a plane stopped they zoom accross while they can.
