JF BAC 1-11 released

One of the Tubeliners I've been waiting for, but one I might hang off on until the inevitable bugs are sorted.
Here's hoping for a good paint kit, this aircraft was well used and has a vast number of color schemes for the re-painters to get stuck into.
:encouragement:

Looks good! Six months ago I would've been all over this from day 1, but since Bjoern's excellent FSX conversions of DM's 1-11s, I'm having a difficult time convincing myself to part with the cash. Maltby's models still hold quite nicely nearly a decade after release.

I'd be curious to hear initial impressions of the JF version, though. It's nice to see a new steam-gauged jet released, and I'm always glad to see a developer take the time to create such planes.

"Separate Virtual Cockpits for the 300/400 and the 500 models are included, with the Smiths flight system in the 500 Series models instead of Collins, the hydraulic panel relocated to the overhead panel and roof-mounted panel switches operating UP for ON instead of down."

Umm...JF, you modeled yourself a 510ED there, which was BEA-exclusive. Most of the 500s pretty much looked like the shorties in the cockpit.

Questions for the fearless volunteers:
- Switch sounds?
- Loading/saving of custom variables?
- Rain on windshield?
- Realistic fuel system operation?

Looks ok, not sure about it though, I am with mgchrist the FSX upgrade of DM's does fine for me at the moment, not that I use it much. A least I have the liveries I want for this model, which is the RAAF VIP fleet and Air Pacific/Fiji Airways who were the users of this beast in this part of the globe. Guess we will see on the issue of bugs and problems that arise to be charitable there may be hardly any, maybe!

Made a first flight with it today......... will test it some more over the week to come and report back here. I don't have the other one mentioned, so cannot compare. I DO like it on first glance, what with the steam cockpit ! Flies very easy..... installed it in my FSX 'Steam' without problems.

Will upload in here 4 brazilian 1-11 paints. The first one in the works, PP-SRT from VASP:

So far from what I have gathered, it's a fine model. I will add it to my list of must-buys as I have seen a real 1-11 in person a few times but for now, I have other purchases on my priority list. The Spey engine sounds are spot on!

For the developers if they see this post. Can you help me to locate the area in the paint kit that fill this antena?

I have been able to make a start on an RAAF BAC 1-11 300 the weekend. Depending on time it should be up by the end of the week.
