JF DH-98 Mosquito released

Thanks again, Peter. Got quite a fleet of Mossies now. Love it. Cheers. :very_drunk:

Might you consider a USAAF scheme?

I would but unfortunately the USAAF did not have any Fighter/Bomber Mosquitos, only the unarmed Photo Recce versions(Jankees did a superb paint for Dave Garwood's BIV model in USAAF colours!). If anyone can find pics of a USAAF FBVI, I would have a go.

cheers

I looked but found none other than the PR version. Got the ones for the DG version. Didn't see much difference externally with the PR version other than the camera portal. Still love what you've done so far. Thanks.

Thought I'd do a 2nd Tactical Air Force scheme as they used the yellow ringed roundel on the upper wings as well as the fuselage! PZ306 of No 21 Squadron.

Hi Guys,
as of now (17:00z) are you sure the new SP1 download is available ? the only file I can get is still the original 159 Mb installer...
Thanks for your inputs,
Francois

I just downloaded the installer and it is EXACTLY the same size (163.222kb) of the old installer. As the installer name is a generic one "Install_Mosquito.exe", is there another way to see that we downloaded a revised installer?
Thanks for the update :encouragement:

Thank you for the update. The prop discs, nav lights and sound set are much improved. This has been my default aircraft since it's introduction.

cheers

Martyn, please forgive me for posting this here instead of in the P3D forum, where there is no Mosquito thread. I have a silly problem that the Just Flight helpdesk was unable to solve. I can select the Mosquito, but the plane is not visible. Both from the inside and from the outside I only see the runway. I can pan around and I hear the engines, but no cockpit, instruments or whatever are to be seen. In FSX I had no problem; I only have it in P3D. I hoped the update would solve the problem, bat alas…This is the only plane, Just Flight or otherwise, where have this problem. I am at wits end. Do you have a solution or at least recognize the problem?

An invisible aircraft is usually a sign that the copy-protection system has failed. Odd to see it working fine in FSX but not P3D though. Did you use the installer to install it into both FSX and P3D (rather than copying across any files manually)?

Do you get the same issue if you install our Mosquito demo into P3D? https://www.justflight.com/demos

First time right, Martyn! The demo works perfectly. Thank you for this valuable tip. But… how do I get the ‘real’ software to work? As I said in FSX it worked fine, then I installed P3D and the Mosquito and it didn’t work, then I bought a new computer and redownloaded the software from my personal account and (I think) supplied the password when I installed the Mosquito for the first time on the new computer. Can you help me out?
Best regards,
Stickshaker

If I remember right.. when you download from your account to a NEW computer, the install routine will take you to Just Flight where you add your account email address and password and within a second or so.. the install routine continues. This should only have to be done once on that pc. You can uninstall and install as many times as you like from then on. You don't enter a password to activate it for the first time as such.. just confirm your account details.

Hello Dave,
I think that was what happened when I installed the Mosquito, but I am not sure; it was a long time ago. I had given up on the Mossie until I decided on a final try in this thread last night. Now I hope there is a way to ‘undo’ whatever I did wrong during the install. Incidentally; on my previous computer the FSX version (which I installed first) worked, but not the P3D version I installed later.
Best regards,
Stickshaker

Stickshaker, having been on the beta team I can assure you it works in P3D. When you run the installer the first time you need to log into JF and then all is good. The installer then gives you a choice of FSX or P3D. Choose P3D then the version of P3D you are using. It should automatically find where you have it installed and will install there.

Failing all that go to your JF account and re-download the file. You may have a corrupted download.
