Very nice indeed and I just love the 'well used' look!
Flying her out of my home field, Tyab, on the Mornington Peninsula, practicing for the coming weekends 'Warbird Warriors' show.

Just did my first flight its a Nice Model though its no where near as good as the Grumman F3F they did sounds on this Cosair are Crap and it has no engine startup or shut down sounds where on the F3F it had full sounds on startup and shut down as well it has slow startup when you hit the starter on the corsair it fires up with out even a Slow down :running: the flight model feels like i am flying a F4F wildcat not a F4U Corsair and the Dive brakes / Spoliers are invisible which in the Real aircraft it would deploy the landing gear to slow the plane in a Dive

You guys are so fast. It is barely 6:30 pst and this is already a sticky. Just got the email and was ready to post it. Everyone obviously has been waiting for this beauty. Thanks for making it a sticky. :encouragement:

Thanks for the feedback.

Startup and shutdown sounds are included so please contact our support team if you can't hear them - http://www.justflight.com/support-contact

If you have experience with the flying characteristics of the Corsair, please drop me a message as we'd be happy to adjust them as required. They feel realistic to me but unfortunately I only have flying time in the much more modest C152/PA28 so I'm no expert :encouragement:

Please refer to page 24 of the manual for instructions on using the dive brakes. The extension of the main landing gear (excluding tail wheel) when using the dive brakes is included.

Had a couple of brief flights. Don't find the FD as challenging as fleigers but it's fun and nice to poodle around in:) I find the prop blur a little odd.. it doesn't seem to change no matter what RPM or throttle settings are used. Thought I'd have a look at the prop stationary so cut the fuel and mags. The engine cut but the prop blur continues on and on and on and on. In fact.. it didn't stop:dizzy: Will have to try C&D I guess. No problem with startup/shutdown sounds. Plenty of detail.

I like it.. but I'd like it a little more with a more accommodating prop blur.. one that didn't grey-out the carrier deck during it's cycle while I'm trying to land!!

I really do love the sound set to this, takes me back to the Warbirds over Wanaka 1996 but the first time I saw this aircraft was the Saturday with Keith Skilling doing circuits at Wigram 1995 VE day, I was suppose to be working rather than working my eyeballs and ears :encouragement:

A bit of experimenting and it seems the prop doesn't like to stop if you're on a carrier (eg, just landed) with wind going over the deck. It stops just fine if you land at an airfield in still air.

Well.. that aside.. I've confirmed the test by lobbing a head wind (24tks) straight down the runway at Culdrose. The prop continued to turn (as if the engine was still running) until I slewed the model 90deg. Nothing major but something I can't recall seeing happen before:)

Dave , I think the team have a little time here:untroubled:, the Corsair was not cleared for carriers for a long time after its introduction :encouragement:

It has a tail hook and RN paint/model.. it's cleared for carrier ops (or should be). Perhaps the beta team weren't;)

I swear, these dev teams need beta testers.

We have a team of 15 for the Corsair (25 for the Hawk, 21 for the Socata...) :encouragement:

The prop issue has been reported to the development team (it's not something that I ever encountered). I can't see any other confirmed issues on this thread, but if you are experiencing any issues then please let me know.

"I only have flying time in the much more modest C152/PA28 so I'm no expert"

Just wish you'd stop dropping the gear in a dive Ma
rtyn...:)

As Martyn says, the dive brakes work as they should, dropping the mains and slowing the aircraft. You just need to read the manual. Also, if you refer to training videos as we did, you will find that the startup on these engines was different to the F3F with little or no stutter. We have built the Corsair based on these types of references.

Nice video Cirrus but I noticed you didn't start using the Mags. Is this because you have used Cntrl/E at some stage? If so you will break the code for the start sequence and the engine will start instantly.

Joseph, for somebody trying to get started with a project and asking advice, you certainly skate on thin ice.:engel016:

I think some of the sounds are right from the F3F. I wonder if it is possible to import the start up the F3F?
