Good morning,

I sent the revised JHS_UK airfield package off to Achim for testing this morning. As long as it checks out and no other bases need to be added, it will be uploaded very soon. It will differ from the one currently in the library in the following manner...

1) RAF Scampton has been slightly modified to eliminate some bitmap problems.

2) RAF Ouston was moved to a more accurate historical location.

3) The original package will expand from thirty-three up to forty-nine bases. The new bases are...

England - Catterick, Church Fenton, Kirton-in-Lindsey, Driffield, Dishforth, Usworth, and Acklington.

Scotland - Drem, Dyce, Prestwick, and Stornoway.

Northern Ireland - Nutts Corner, Aldergrove, Limavady, Eglinton, and Castle Archdale.

This is a complete package of 49 airfields in England and other locales throughout the United Kingdom.


This package has been updated on 04/24/2015 to include the following airfields: Acklington, Aldergrove, Castle Archdale, Catterick, Church Fenton, Dishforth, Drem, Driffield, Dyce, Eglinton, Kirton-in-Lindsey, Limavady, Nutts Corner, Prestwick, Stornoway, and Usworth.

Ouston and Scampton have also been relocated or modified.

The package from 2012 contained these airfields: Bircham Newton, Bodney, Boxted, Brooklands, Cardiff, Coltishall, Coningsby, Debden, Detling, Fowlmere, Gonfirth, Guernsey, Halesworth, Haverhill, Kemble, Kirkwall, Leiston, Lossiemouth, Luton, Manston, Martlesham, Methwold, Northolt, North Weald, Ouston, Ramsgate, Rochford, Scampton, Steeple Morden, West Malling, Woodhall Spa, Woolston, and Yeovil.

Some of the airbases are already covered by Pen32Win with his two 2TAF airfield packages. My layouts will follow his lines because he put a lot of effort into making them as close as possible to the real thing.

The problem is that you can’t use both in the same install of cfs2. If you want to keep the 2TAF fields simply delete the respective xxx.bgl files (three for each single airfield) from his 2TAF scenery before installing my set of fields.

This is a replacement for Achim's older files found in the Warbirds archive.

Many thanks to Achim and yourself for the pack. So glad for the Coastal Command bases, I feel some 'Battle of the Atlantic' missions/campaigns coming on......;)

These great additions just keep coming. Please, always know your work is appreciated. Just downloaded the new JHS England and UK and will add them to my ETO ...ASAP.
