Usio's IJN Hatsuzuki. An "Akizuki" class Destroyer/escort, launched Apr 1942, commissioned Dec 1942. Oct 1944 part of the force opposing allied landings in the Leyte Gulf. On 25 October, in the Battle off Cape Engaño, she was sunk by a US cruiser-destroyer group, while covering the rescue of survivors of the aircraft carriers Zuikaku and Zuihō.
