Usio's PT 109. An Elco 80' MTB, launched June 1942 and sent to the SWPA. Based out of Rendova to harass the Tokyo Express. Around 2:00 a.m. on 2 August 1943, idling on one engine , whilst on patrol, PT109 was run down by the IJN Destroyer Amagiri at a speed of between 23 and 40 knots, with the loss of 2 crew.
