VT Guard is gonna be swapping F-16 for JSF's when they come on line!

BTV is listed as a "Candidate" site. VT ANG has an excellent school house for seasoning crew chiefs for the F-16. That means they have a good chance. However, keep in mind that the noise signature of the F-35 makes the F-16 sound like children playing. That may factor in to the communities support/ rejection of the idea. Also, with cash tightening, it will mean that there would be an extremely high likelyhood that an active duty squadron would be associated with the unit and based there.

I get to fly the JSF sim here at PAX River all the time. It is great that one of my friends is a computer scientist that builds SIMS. They have the JSF, New glass cockpit version of the H53, and the Presedential Helicopter (Sim still there, program has been cancelled ) The JSF is on a 40 foot quarter dome. Frigging awesome!
