Junkers Ju88S1 high speed bomber

Shessi

SOH-CM-2025
Hi Folks,
Follow on from the Junkers Ju88R1 is an S1 bomber version. This was the last bomber version of the Ju88, as a high speed bomber. It had a streamlined nose and glazing, and had similar performance to the later G1/G6 nightfighters.
Used in limited numbers from mid to late war.

All the usual things, a new modified 2D panel and a new skin, based on Bravo4's tex.

Cheers

Thanks gents, glad you like it.

She a pretty little thing, and I've got to admit the figures quoted would give a Mossie NF a hard chase.

As I must say, this ac wouldn't be, without the great initial work of Kris and Jay, back in 2003!! So big thanks to them.

Cheers

Thanks Shessi. Fantastic work for one of my favourite CFS2 planes. This calls for some additional skins and maybe a detailed widescreen panel.. Meanwhile,.. there is a Ju88 panel with more details on my site..

Hi Morton,
I considered that panel, as it does look good, but requires quite a bit of work to make it look like an S1 panel. The front machine gun, and gun sight would have to be removed, I mean if you're offering then great?!..;)

Mark,

Top-drawer effort sir, fantastic work! :very_drunk:

I hear some CFS2 Luftwaffe pilots are quite enamored with your work on our beloved Dreifingers. :applause:

Splendid model!

An amazing development work, Mark! :guinness: :guinness:

If I keep toasting to your production at this pace, I'll be soon in troubles....:biggrin-new:

Thank you very much!

G,
Yes saw it, and although very nice (as usual!), unfortunately the photo is taken from the wrong seat, ie navigators seat, the control column would need correcting and obviously the whole panel would have to be fitted for gauges.

Now when are you going to learn how to make real panels?....Coz you turn out beautiful looking pics that we all really like, but we need them to be populated with gauges. Seriously, the amount of effort you put in to make a picture, you could easily spend that time making a working panel..;) I know you asked a long time ago to team up with someone, it's a shame no-one took up your offer.

I've got a couple of panel/gauge progs that make it pretty easy to do. Yes I could do it, but it would be ANOTHER thing to do..:pop4:

Cheers

Re: I've got a couple of panel/gauge progs

Can you send me those programs? If they are not too big...?
G.

p.s.: I have a corrected yoke.. in the neutral position... The original is in layers with the yoke apart... so it can be used with or without it..
However, you are right the point of view is the navigator's...
I will correct the panel to be from the pilot's POV...pretty easy to do...

Thanks for the observation... I never noticed it... Alzheimer's moment...

As you corrected pointed out...

My panel was inadvertedly drawn from the navigator's POV... this corrected version makes it more from the pilot's POV...
What do you think? (correcting the POV and the yoke were no real problem... sorry I missed that)
As you can see... the main instruments are in the right position (head on) and can accept any circular gauges... without bezels...

Thank you for helping me improve the bmp...

I think I got the programs you mean today... are they in a bundle with ConfigEdit?
At any rate, there is one to put "pink" night lights...that does not work for me...
first it tells me I need a vb40032.dll... and after I put it in the System folder... it gives
me a "can't access registry" type error... do you know what needs to be done?

Thanks in advance,
G.
