Just a friendly reminder...

Hey guys,

Good morning. I just wanted to put out a gentle reminder, since there are just under forty-five days left in the year, that the SOH annual fund drive will be upon us before you know it. I know that at the end of the year, finances can be tight, so if possible, plan accordingly.

Because I have four kids and the holidays coming up, I made sure to put my initial donation aside over the summer, and have enough for a reserve donation if we are running short. I don't want to see this hobby compromised by having SOH compromised, it means a lot to so many, including me. CFS2 is one of the things that keeps me sane!

Mine will be there Rami. No problem. I very much echo Shadow Wolf 07's sentiments! :encouragement:

Hey Chris,

On a completely different topic, did you ever get my PM about me coming out to San Diego in February and wanting to meet up?

I'm already on the other side of asylum's fence...but you can count on a monetary donation from me this year also.

They still haven't put the straight jacket on me, ..... yet.

On another side note:

Man, Chris, San Diego County! I have fond memories AFTER Marine boot camp there.
I did my communications school there before leaving for Vietnam.
There was a new park being constructed east of the city out a ways in rural SD County. Spent a few nights in a tent there once in a while to get away from the city.
I suppose the city has already overtaken that beautiful countryside?...

I went to boot camp at Perris Island, but went to Communications School in San Diego in 1970-71. Shortly after that, they moved to Twenty Nine Palms.

Nothing rural or not much "countryside" left in SD County.
