• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Just a Thought Regarding Recent Problems

First off, I need to say that I am one of those anti-social networking (i.e. Facebook) types. That has a lot to do with the fact that where you have a hugely popular venue you will also have all of the bottom feeders congregating to do their evil deeds. Frankly I have no desire to broadcast cool tidbits of my life like when I changed my socks, or flushed the commode. :icon_lol:

I can't help but wonder if the recent changes at SOH to include these sites might have something to do with the problems occurring today?

Don't know about this time, but we've periodically had DOS attacks before the facebook link up so it's hard to say that's the root cause this time. Ickie's on it and will get to the bottom of it.

Iam glad the facebook link is off the top of the page. Nothing against Facebook. It was becoming annoying. One extra second to load that line on every page, I would start to click on a post, then the page moves and I end up clicking on the wrong thing.
