Just Flight C-130

I received the Just Flight C-130 for Christmas. It's a conglomeration of the various Captain Sim C-130 X-perience packages at a significantly lower price. Not all models and repaints are included, but that's ok.

I've run into a problem. I don't let install programs install right to flightsim. That way, I can reduce the amount of garbage that goes into flightsim. I also have a format for aircraft that goes into the aircraft folder. Which, by the way, I use the "old school" Aircraft folder and only have the stock airplanes in the SimObjects folder.

Back to the problem. The ACE doesn't work as a result of the above mentioned changes. It can't find the correct folders. Does anyone know if a way to fix it? I'd like to be able to change the loads, etc.

Also, does anyone know what the effect name of the flares is? I can't seem to get them to shut off and I figure it's easier to remove them from the aircraft.cfg?

I usually do the same thing, redirecting installers. But with big packages, like the C-130 and Aerosoft Hawk package, I let them do their thing. So sorry, I don't have any advice.

The ACE probably has a path hard-coded into it, which means that if you change the installation it will never work. You'll have to ask Captain Sim via a support ticket to get that confirmed, but messing about with the installation of complex add-ons is, I'm afraid, pretty much guaranteed to break them.

I did drop Just Flight an e-mail but haven't heard anything yet. Captain Sim requires a sales number for access. Of course, I don't have one because it wasn't purchased through them.

I'm also having to change items in the panel.cfg and model.cfg files. I'm seriously considering moving all the files into one aircraft folder in an effort to consolidate and save hard drive space. I think it may improve loading times as well, but I can't prove it.

You can use the 'Tools' tab in the ACE to set the path, at least that's how it works in the Fs9 version.

:)

That's the way it's supposed to work, but it looks for the CS_130 folder that has been renamed in order to comply with the way I catalog aircraft.
