Just Flight DC6B

Don't worry, we won't be letting Bazzar retire anytime soon :salute:
-->At least from this forum

Got it now ,flew it,Stunning VC-->cannot replicate the critisism
Only thing I am still to stupid is too show up the stairs

I think worth every cent.

Roland

PS:I have many of them-->at least all the CalClassics-->Still the Greg Pepper plane is great by todays standard
PPS:Now we need a DC-7 and more so a DC-7C

For you guys who can't find how to make the stairs appear, on the main panel just above the artificial horizon is a red lever labeled "Air On Emergency Power." Click on it and it will toggle the stairs and the hippie wagon.

Also, the far right W/A switch on the upper overhead panel will toggle chocks/covers etc.

I was moved to buy this aircraft both on its own merit and as a way of supporting the developers.

I am going to be making her my ride of choice for a good while to come.

From negatives have come positives. It is good when it works out that way.

ON FIRST BLUSH

Just recieved the boxed version last night...way ahead of anticipated arrival by the way....put it on my computer, added the service pack....and loaded up FSX....my first impressions are "WOW"
excellent, outstanding,Groovy(if you're old enough to recall groovy). Need to adjust cfg. for pilot position I like to see more instrument panel than the default...did a quick series of "A" keystrokes to see additional views and I really like the hot babe flight attentdant...the detail is very good (not the flight attendant, the aircraft). engine views wing views underside etc. all very neat. Took off for a quick familiarization flight, aircraft gives the feel of a heavy four engine aircraft, a little slow to climb, a little slow for rudder response, feels on the edge of stall till airspeed builds, just what I would expect... level off, set trim, pick an auto pilot setting and lock on....then about a thousand view strokes to see all of it....I'm very pleased. I also have the Professional Connie pack (which I fly most often) This (the DC6B) is equivalent to that package and a blast to play with. WAY TO GO Baz and company. So enough of this I'm off for a morning flight. I don't know if other developers are working on the Douglas heavies, but this one is a very good rendition...with the FSX enhancement from A2A enabled it is pretty darn cool. Oh btw the boxed version comes with a Manual....yes, you read correctly a manual, a small book that is an excellent reference for this product...

Thanks for the HU, Yoyo!

It's always much appreciated when a developer releases a demo version :applause:

Greetings
Tim

Checked out the demo...hmmm....there's some sounds in there that sound quite familiar :icon_eek:

I downloaded the demo and did a quick low level flight. It's very nice, including the sound.

DC-6B into Catalina

Good-day,
I took the Dc-6 into Catalina today. Was still nearly full of fuel, but with WI, and a little flap, was able to lift off again....love this bird!

Just got this thanks to Just Flight's two-for-one airliner sale. (Picked up the Comet too, since I've had the Connie for a while now.)

REALLY nice. Bizarre to read the original thread, after comparing the model to actual photos. It's a beauty, and looks as much like a DC-6 as it can considering I'm viewing it on a 27" monitor!

Quick question: I know there's a paintkit. Is there a repository of repaints anywhere? Looking for some military paints to complement the civilian liveries.

I picked up the DC-6 and the Connie in the sale. I must say the "6" is really quite nice. The Connie is lacking something I can't quite put my finger on.

The -6 and the Comet for me....already had the "Connie".....Get to go roaming around on four engines this weekend....

Too bad it is FSX only - this is one of the planes that makes me toy with the idea of getting FSX. But my system is to old, running FS9 just comfortably at 25 fps, no way it could manage FSX.

Oh well, until I can afford a new rig, I will keep on dreaming:wiggle:

The Red Bull skin is quite nice, but there appears to be a missing texture under the aircraft, near the wing. Still real purdy.
