Does anyone else have reoccurring dreams about playing sports? I’m always dreaming my team has a reunion or I get to go back and time and play football again, but I’m usually late and miss the game, thus destroying my only hope to touch the field again.

Tonight was extra upsetting lol. I just got up from a nap where my team was going to go up against the pros in the Super Dome, and I got there just as the game was over and everyone was shaking hands. I couldn’t find my helmet either lol.

Also dream a lot about fighting terminators lol, not the nightmare kind of dream but the butt kicking kind where I hope I can keep kicking their butts when I go back to sleep.
 
Well, no pro prospects ever, but I played organized baseball until I was 58. Would still play, but the wife said it was baseball or the bike. I am addicted to cycling, couldn't give up my bike.

I quit playing semi-pro football at 27, could see where that would lead to major injuries after a big Greek nailed me after I had intercepted a pass. I sit up for something like 5 minutes, but I could not get up. I had one good concussion. Said that was it. I do have a set of goal posts in my back yard made from PVC pipe and I still love kicking field goals, even if I am only doing it myself. Keeps my legs yoned and fit in Winter too, when cycling mileage drops.

I was a walk on at Va. Tech and tried out for place kicking (kick offs, POTs, and FGs), but my luck would be a young English soccer player tried out too and got the job due to his soccer kicking style. I was a straight-on Lou Groza kicker. Imagine my surprise when VT's soccer coach asked me if I'd like to play soccer. So I played two years on the VT soccer team in a day when soccer in the US was not what it is today.

Neither of my two sons ever became interested in team sports and I wish they had. I never forced them into sports, I feel it is better to let them pick their own path as long asd that path is a straight one.

But team sports should be a requirement in schools. Every student (boy and girl), that is physically capable, should play some form of team sports. It teaches one how to work with others and how to communicate with others in a much better way than classroom work, which is generally more of a solo output. When one finishes his education, that team spirit and collaboration will be a bonus in the working world.

It might be better that I didn't get to play since it was my High School football team and it would have probably turned into a nightmare lol.:173go1:

Speaking of dreams, just this morning I woke up dreaming of flying Bill's Kodiak. In the dream I just took off and looked up. In my dream I had to look up because I couldn't remember is the Kodiak had a stick or yoke and so I looked down to check.

Anyway, I look up and here is this forest of radio towers just in front of me. I can see the guide wires extending out from the towers. they look like a spider's web there are so many.

I know i can't go between them so I try to turn and avoid them but realize I won't make it. My last thoughts are before awaking that I need to fly the plane more in order to better know its capabilities and limitations. :icon_lol:
 
I dream sometimes about running, and I haven't ran since I got out of the Army in 1989. And now that I can't run, I dream about it, life is cruel.
 
Never played much sports,I'm not very graceful if you know what I mean.My brother said I could trip over a tar bubble in the road.

But man I dream of being in that M60A1 for just one more day,C-22,tearing up the countryside.......I would pay a LOT of money to drive one again.:USA-flag:

funny but not funny. when i was young i used to delight in making people chase me. i used to call myself the gingerbread man because no one could catch me. i'm old and fat, but before i ruined my ankle i still outran my stepkids. was the first time i ran in decades. now i wish i could still run, just like you do.
 
I have those dreams where you are being chased by someone trying to kill you, but it always ends with me hacking him to death with an ax.
 
Anyone dream that their guns don't work when you are getting attacked? I am never strong enough to pull the trigger, or the bullets don't have any effect. I'll have to squeeze with both fingers with all of my strength to squeeze off a single round and then I will miss.
 
Dreams are wild...

So many times, I am talking to people, strangers, friends from the past, etc. Every now and then though, there are some really really good ones.. like flying a plane on my own and nothing goes wrong, or seeing a space craft in the future, walking around on it and its so dang totally real its like I was there..

How can they happen? How do dreams work? Really amazing phenomenon...

Ummm ... No. Can't say that I've had anything similar to these dreams ... :icon_lol:

Though when I do dream I tend to dream a lot in color ...
 
Talking about dreaming while someone is chasing you, man, why is it no matter how fast i ran, I always ran in slow motion....

I have this weirdest dream one night. I was adopted by one of the millionaires in town. He has this huge mansion, like the Disney type or bigger, kinda like am the heir of a Kingdom! I woke up and I was trying to find the mansion and the I realized it was a dream. Man, I went back to sleep, might have a part 2. It seemed so real. I did not dream of part 2 yet! (but still hoping and dreaming part 2 will come sooner in my dream.... )

And of course it's all in color!

I dream I can fly, weird but yes I can fly, above the clouds, over the roof. Flying without an airplane, guys.... And I manuever very good (without the joystick). I can stall and I can zoom up and do aerobatics, FUN!

Those are awesome... Very rare, but just plain AWESOME!

Once, I was flying through this neighborhood, speeding along at a pretty good speed, flying past trees and between power wires, having a blast. I landed on this tower thing that was part of a building structure. I was three stories up, and looked down as I was on this tower, and thats when I got ill and woke up, lol.. arrgh..
