The Halifaxes have been sent and should be available soon. Now come the Lancasters.

installed, tested and... damned, they are beautifull!!! The B2/QQ will be a perfect target for the Ju88C6 in the bay of Biscay :kilroy:

Use

These should be fine in ETO. The folks that tested them have ETO on their machines. Have fun.

Just remember these were done partly as a spoof so I could have more targets for the NJG. :jump: With gentle prodding from Bravo4 :ernae: and James "Mongoose" Allen :applause: they developed into a little bit more. I do not think I will ever texture the gunstations, but the view is fair.

Enjoy.

Nice to see you improved my beta model into a whole host of mk's
even the one with turret underneath (i gotta lotta stick for sayin there was a Hali Mk with turret there ;)
Makes a change from Lancs in every sim to fly the forgotten bombers
enjoyed having a quick fly about in these
Nice job all round :guinness: :medals:

Starrynites: ...would not be possible. Thanks for letting me work on your fine models.

These look fantastic. Thank you. Are they ok to use in ETO?

:kilroy:Wichner, et al, Nachtpiloten's new Halifaxes are just perfect for ETO and CFS3 both. I am one of those that tested them for him. The only thing that you may want to do is edit the sound.cfg file in the sound folder in each plane with Notepad. There are appropriate sounds in the DR_Engine_Sounds folder found in the main aircraft folder of ETO. Just use Notepad to change the pathway shown in each planes sound.cfg file to match the location of the preferred sounds in the DR_Engine_Sounds folder. You may also change the loadouts to match the newer items in ETO by using Notepad to alter the plane's *.XDP file under <loadouts>.

RULE #1 for making any changes or replacements: ALWAYS BACKUP ANYTHING YOU PLAN TO CHANGE OR REPLACE!

Good luck.:d

P.S. Great job, NP! They look very good.

from my side, I've also edited ES/LS dates in xdp files to fit with reality because I use generic pickups in my missions. I can do this because I don't play online, I don't have any compatibility problems.

One thing

I uploaded the 4 engined sounds for the Hercules to SOH so as soon as they are ready.

Need to mention that Pat Pattle was the author of the Horsa gilder included in the package. Thanks Pat, for a great model!!

Great stuff Ted.:applause::applause::ernae:.
While it is worth changing things like sounds, bomb loads and ES/LS dates for home simming, it is always worth reminding people to keep one install clean of any alterations if you are an online player. I have 3 ETO installs; clean, ETOTOW, and ETOBoB. Even a 150Gb HD is enough and with HDs relatively cheap now, that should be possible for most guys.

Standards

I hope that the ETO folks would like to use these and if they do they could standardize the process for online play.

The Hercules engine sounds work fine as they are uploaded, the product_code=CFS3 is what matters, not the words in the [ ]!
