I was delving into the newest copy of Maxium PC Magazine [Nov '08] tonite, and noted an interesting article regarding Gaming, PCs, and Linux software.

The lowdown is that Linux OS is far less hostile to most PC games, especially with regard to current (and past) graphic intensive software. There is even a freeware "middleman" software bridge to allow windows-based games to run in Linux.

My question is: Has anyone here dabbled in other OS's and CFS2 ?

Seems that, if the Linux option is viable, it would remove at least one of several limitations to the game and make it more enjoyable...

Hi SC,

I have dabbled a wee bit in Linux, and while I never installed any games, from what I've read those windows emulation programs, like WINE do not work 100%. Some games work fine, others have graphics issues, and the majority won't even run.

Not a Linux expert,

I work with linux based machines, But CFS2 will not work with it as Linux does not recognize .exe files. Or so I'm told. However, Linux works great on lower grade computers.
