JustFlight Canberra at a Give Away Price

RAS_JF, PM with logfile & details sent, I appreciate it very much you are willing to look into this !
Maybe it is a good idea to check the Tornado coding as well - it is on my shopping list.

Yup.. nice to hear another service pack is on the way AND there may be a way around the pink VC. I'm a constant 'in and outer' too and I found this a source of annoyance.. so much so that I don't have it installed on my current FSX. Hope to goodness the GR1 won't do it as it's also on my shopping list.

After I posted about the key events issue earlier today, RAS_JF did sent me a fix which successfully passed the test :applause::applause::applause:

An update for the Canberra has now been made available. Anyone who purchased from us will be getting an email with details shortly. You can also find details here - http://www.justflight.com/support/canberra-pr9

Hope to goodness the GR1 won't do it as it's also on my shopping list.
It won't. Most of the changes in this service pack are fixes that we've learned about in the course of developing the Tornado. The Canberra was after all our first ever product so we've learned a few more tricks since then.

Just had an email to say SP2 is available for download.

Do I have to uninstall the current version first then install the new version or is it ok to install over? There's no mention on the email.

PS,
Service pack 2 makes the following changes

  • Revised flight dynamics to improve the directional control at circuit speeds
  • New aircraft model to remove the pink surfaces that show when textures are loading
  • Revised ground unit placement
  • Multiplayer flooding issue fixed
  • Steam:FSX compatibility added to download installer

Hi,
Best method is to redownload the new installer from your account, uninstall the old one and reinstall using the new software.

Thank you very much for the SP-----much appreciated!
The Canberra is one of my favourite planes in FSX.
There was a thread about the FDE and a few other issues of the Eurofighter Typhoon(cannot find it),could you Guys at JF do something for the Typhoon owners?
Mike

RAS,
I think there may be a problem with the SP2 download. Following my e-mail I re downloaded the installer, but it doesn't give me the option of installing into FSX Steam, just FSX, Prepar3D and Prepar3D v2.--- which leads me to suspect that the SP2 version hasn't been put into peoples accounts yet?

Regards,
Ian

If you click on FSX does it not then give you the option of choosing between the boxed and Steam versions?

I believe the new installer is already accessible via your account.
A good way to check you have the new files installed is to look at the aircraft.cfg - yaw_damper_gain should now be 0.5 (instead of 1 if I remember correctly).

Just installed the new download and it is still SP1. The MDL / aircraft.cfg / Canberra.gau files are all dated March 2014 (yaw_damper_gain= 1).

I just redownloaded and installed the model and HOPE it's the old version as I'm still seeing lots of pink VC when changing views.

Dave, what did I do. I havent had the pink VC when changing views since day 1. (DX10, 2048 res). Hopefully it is still the previous version. How about the GPU position?
