JustFlight Dambusters and Pearl Harbor addons for CFS2

Hi All!

Finally got CFS2 to work today on my PC after all this time (if anyone remembers my 2012 issues the previous time I upgraded about not being able to change resolution)

For sentimental reasons I am going to be playing through the main campaign again, I also had a lot of addons from just flight. The two that come to mind are Just Flight's Dambusters and Pearl Harbor (the latter I bought at a market and never worked, you can imagine how heartbroken 5 year old me was) so I've kind of made it my mission to finally get that addon and play through it.

Now I am sure many of you are aware of the CD issues just flight has on windows 10, so I'm looking for a more digital approach.

If anyone has these Addons from many years ago please send me a message, and help that child from 16 years ago cross something off his bucket list that's gone unticked for too long :eagerness:

The Pearl Harbor Project scenery package greatly supplements the original version, and the available ships and aircraft are much improved now. About the only thing the original package is good for are the missions themselves. As far as DamBusters is concerned, it's a mixed bag. Allen went through and remade all of the Lancaster bomber variants, and Robert John made some replacement objects for some of originals in DamBusters. I also went through and remade all of the dams in GSL. But there are some pieces in DamBusters that are unique and difficult to replace.

Have been working on your "Operation Tidal Wave" mission. The players flight is now B24 Guys OH B-24 with authentic Olive Drab 44th BG textures. All others flights of the B-24s are now the Alpha B-24D in Pink. I will shortly be doing the same for the "Juggler" mission, because Pink B-24s were never used over Europe.

B-24 Guys plane is awesome, and allows me to do exactly what I want to. It is equipped with a bomb site, and best of all an autopilot. This is good because, by hand it is very difficult to stay in formation, whereas with autopilot the formation sticks to you like glue. Better yet, this allows for a warp-free campaign. It really feels different flying to and from the target, and gives the game an entirely new feel. With autopilot, you are free to do other things while flying, and if you really don't have the time you can speed up 4x. It is a really nice change from the "take off - warp, kill something - warp & land" CFS2 that I am all too used to.

This gives a nice new aspect to the game overall, and I will continue to work on a campaign for the Flying Eightballs. I thought that I would never be able to achieve this, due to the fact it is difficult to both stay in formation, and bomb from 20K ft without a sight, but now I can finally make the campaign I have always wanted to. I will progress with about 20 important missions flown by the 44th. (The first 2 will be Tidal Wave and then Juggler), the rest shall be flown from the base at Shipdam. I will pick the other 18 most significant raids up until they transitioned to B-24J's. Then I will make another campaign for the Alpha B-24J, aliased to the OH B-24 Panel. This will consist of another 20 missions, leading up until the end of the war.
