Has anybody besides me bought any of these? You know you're a hopeless airplane geek if you buy these, and the real pilots among us, who know what they must think? I've bought about ten, over five years or so, but haven't bought any in several years now. I tried to focus on the DVDs that feature the older planes, or interesting places. The DC-6 one is cool, and I have one on Yeti Airlines, who fly Twin Otters into teeny tiny airports in Nepal. Some of it is boring, like when they film the stews serving meals in the back. What the heck? I know what that looks like, I ride in the back all the time! What's interesting is how this outfit got started. Two guys with a video camera, talking their way onto planes, in order to film cockpit operations, then sell VCR tapes! What a crazy idea! I'll bet everyone thought they were nuts...

I have quite a few of them, and the Alaska Airlines 737-200, Chalks Ocean Airways Turbo Mallard, and European BAC 1-11 are some of my favorites.

i have a few myself,,been looking at the yeti one..does it show Lukla?...i have an unhealthy fetish thing about lukla....:jump:...:icon_eek:...eeeeeee....anyway...love that place...everytime my brother inlaw comes over...he is kind of a stick in the mud...i hit the directv youtube feature and show him a DHC6 landing at lukla....hes like...NOOOOOOOOOO not again.....i just snicker....my sister talks a hunert miles an hour...gives us something to do........

No, the Yeti one does not feature Lukla. It's funny, because I learned about Lukla, through FS, after I bought that DVD. I went back to see if Lukla was among the airports featured. Nope. Not to worry though, some of the DHC-6 landings, on tiny dirt strips, are amazing. Love that plane! :)

oh well...i bought the DHC6 twin otter talked about in the FSX thread, and the lukla scenery because of a you tube vid i saw years ago, loved it then,,and saw a show about the worlds most dangerous airports and went nuts over it,,,( i am a little off anyway,so im told)...but what fun!!!
