Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Military skins - WWII

Description: This is a repaint of a static display C-47A-80 DL Skytrain "The S.N.A.F.U Special" as she is displayed today as a tribute to the Brave Aircrews and the Men of the British 6th Airborne and U.S. 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions at the Merville Battery Museum in Normandy France.

Thank You

Wanted to say thanks for making the Snafu Special.

When I took off in it, I had in mind to take some paratroopers with me. I noticed that the upper panel was not quite configured
to get the jumpers off like in the paratrooper version. I sorted it out and noticed that if you want the Snafu to be a paratrooper carrier then you have
to add the file panel_3.dds to the texture folder and that will give the red/green toggles needed to be a paratrooper plane. :encouragement:

Glad to know you like it. My paint is more of what she looks like today as a static museum piece, that's
why I didn't add the paratroopers panel file to the folder. Jankees is doing her wartime dress and should
be releasing it (if he hasn't already) to where he uploads all his paints. Either way it's good to know you
got it working and that it is easy to add the needed file for the perfect immersion factor.

Joe
