Kauai Photoscenery "Teaser"

I had originally hoped to have The Hawaiian Islands - Kauai ready for a Christmas release but such is not to be. This is a far more ambitious project than Niihau and I underestimated my timelines. Since I'm still a month or two away from completion, I figured I'd release a beta "teaser" as a sneak preview instead. This is the area around Princeville on Kauai's northern shore. The scenery includes the Princeville Airport (HI01).

If this is too much of a hassle for anyone, please let me know and I'll see about uploading it to my server as well. But Tom has more bandwidth than I do. I'm not planning to upload it to the usual FSX locations (here, AVSIM etc) because this preview shows the beta version and is not the finished product.

Hi Boom,

Glad you enjoyed it. I'm hard at work on the rest of it and it's coming along nicely. Hope to have it ready in a month or so. Made so great strides forward this past week. Finally got a particularly difficult section resolved.

I don't know Rich, Kauai is probably going to be the hardest one of all? :icon_lol: So many elevation changes! Deep canyons!

BTW, tried the Kauai beta with 10m and 5m mesh like I did with your Niihau scenery. Looks great with both! :applause: Looking forward to the final. :jump:

You might very well be right about that. A lot of work getting rid of deep shadows, etc. Also there's a hell of a lot of water on that island to deal with, even if you don't include the golf course water hazards.
