KAZUNORI ITO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is wonderful news indeed! :jump:

I hope it means that he's found a cure for the vision problem that was forcing him out of the hobby...

... and not that his vision has deteriorated to the point that it now takes him this long (since his last release ages ago) to make a model...

thanks
i know i always complain about his fd's
but he makes some great models to work with
glad he is still in production
and hope that he has beaten his problem

Not to start another thread but apologies to hijack this one

I love Itos models and how easy they can be painted but ill be damned if I can get them off the ground without large amounts of up trim :kilroy:

Is there a way to edit the .cfg file to lessen the need to trim up at all

Thanks
Matt :salute:

I believe standard practice has been to be grateful for an excellent model then go through your aircraft and find one a close as possible to the new one and use it's air and cfg files. Copy over the contact points, and light section from the new model and begin tweeking if necessary. :salute:

I am very grateful that Kazunori is modeling again. I actually like the way this unique aircraft flies ....

Arigato Ito San! Mike :jump:

I love this aircraft. I could never get the only other one I could find to fly worth beans. This is going to be fun!

Hi,

I'm close to done with a revised cfg. I've re-done the wheel and scrape contact points. Flight dynamics a little more responsive in hover/slow flight. To help with the bounces on flap deployment I'm thinking of just adding more increments. Man these VTOL things are a bear. Should be done by tomorrow.

edit: BTW, anybody know how to make the nose wheel turn correctly?

In the .air file the Engine Type (line 310) is 1 (piston) but... isn't it actually a turboprop? Or is it a helicopter?
It cranks like a piston engine when it starts, so I'm thinking some .air file tweaks are needed in addition to Aeromed's .cfg file changes.

Does anyone have any contact with him or know how his health is ?

Does anyone have any contact with him or know how his health is ?

Well I'm away on holiday at the moment, but going to email him upon my return and say thankyou (like I suppose everyone else has) for this new aeroplane. Its a joy to see him back - we used to correspond on an almost daily basis as I supplied material for a lot of his later projects. But with his health and my own family committments - we went our seperate ways.

I look forward to emailling him soon.

Best wishes,

Martin

I mentioned the other similar aircraft I tried once but cannot find it anywhere. The XC-142A. Any one know where this could be?

found it, ltvxc142.zip at Flightsim, and a modified FDE by Chuck Backus. I'll be checking what was done to learn any tips.
