KCFS Republic Seabee update thread.

Ya. What the paint kit testers is a pure ALPHA. It looks the part, but its got the FM of a 172 and sinks like one too! Hopefully a real beta will be out this weekend. One that fly's and floats like a Seabee should!

third round: the white patches on the wings have misteriously disappeared, but I'm not complaining..

I found one more error on the other side that I still need to fix, but meanwhile something for the PNW fliers:

As already more than 50% of the real world flight test questionnaire have been answered, I've already built a very realistic Seabee FDE....just in time for the first beta :)
And jankees repaints are as usual really superb!!!

I was reading this story at seabee.info

One of dad's most famous stories was when he took a trip to Petersburg, Alaska, in his first Bee N6526K; about ten miles from town flying up the Wrangell Narrows (I never figured out why the channel to Petersburg was named after another neighboring town) the engine sped up a little. Dad adjusted the prop control with no results. He thought the cotter pin must have come out of the end of the prop control cable. As he approached the landing at Petersburg at nine-hundred-feet he pulled the throttle to set up for a landing on the water. That is when he felt the plane shudder. What he did not know is something had broken which allowed the prop to go into full reverse.

Does anyone know the function and operation of the engine/prop having the possibility to go into full reverse? Mind you it's a reciprocal engine..and moreover is this -somehow- being simulated?

Anneke!

The prop doesn't care if he's being driven via a turboprop or piston engine and yes, our KCFS Seabee does back up on land and on water....

well, unless anybody sees any mistakes or errors, I think these are more or less done.

Wow i'm glad to have all these knowledgeable people around, thanks..
I've never seen reversed prop in the sim on a reciprocal engine...:guinness:

Beta out already?

:salute: but..this weekend is now..In europe the last day of the weekend start in an hour (at the time or writing) :jump:

Cheers,
Anneke

I know your choping at the bit to get your hands on it, but everyone is doing there job as fast and as best they can. I would rather not rush things at this point as it will make a better product.

Well, the paintkit is right already, here's my next project:

I'm not happy with the colour, and there's a lot of little niggles to sort, but this my first flight with it, and most of the stripes align already!
