KCFS Republic Seabee update thread.

Just a quick update. Textures are done and I sent the layered paint kit off to be "tested". The FM and programming are still in progress and will take time. In that time I need to make some livery's.

We hope for a December release.

Also, we will need good testers soon. If your interested in beta testing the Seabee, please list your qualifications here. Prior experience a plus, and real flight experience is a BIG plus. Those activly involved in beta testing will get credits in the manual and a free copy. :salute:

I'd love to help. Although I don't likely have the knowledge you require. I can say I've been beta tester several times. And I do pretty well testing paint templates. LOL!

Gibbage, this looks superb! Perfect for PNW, Fjiords, Tongass etc!

A question - will this perhaps have an ADF gauge (of use for us flying around Orbx AU, with lots of NDB's provided as well as AM Radio Stations that the good OZx folk added)!

I'd love to beta test this aircraft but unfortunately with a busy schedule at present I can't realistically offer my services. It promises to be a superb aircraft when release and I will be in line with my plastic.

I'd love to help with beta testing.

I am a private pilot, but haven't flown a real airplane in years. I'm also a real-world C-130 Loadmaster with over 3,500 hours in the airplane. I'm a moderator over at The Old Hangar in the Seaplanes forum. Most of my FSX time has been spent in the Short Empire and Martin Mars, although I really enjoy the Goose and pretty much whatever floater I can get my paws on. I've also been flight simming since FS][, about 1982. I occasionally help beta test aircraft. The last one was the Dornier Do-28. Over at avsim.com, there are 45 files to my credit. There were about 15-20 more, but they were lost in the crash and I have yet to reupload them.

It will have a radio compass, and I think that ties in with the ADF? (not 100% sure). I will talk with Chuck, but I think there are ways of editing your own gauges and stuff. The "early" Seabee will basically have stock 1947 gauges with only the most basic VFR avionics. The later free patch will have a full IFR set for those of you who are more adventurous!

Also a quick note to the people PMing me for beta testers. We are not yet ready for testing, but once we are I will let you know in a reply. So dont loose hope if I dont reply right away! I think we are a week or two away from testing.

Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to field them.

KCFS Seabee is getting closer!!! I just handed off the final artwork to Chuck and Bernt! Everything looks so amazing now, and I have no doubt that with there help, it will FLY amazing!

Here is the final cockpit for the "early" Seabee, and a night shot to show you the night time lighting with both the dome and panel lights on.

Also, if you have a livery request, NOW IS THE TIME!!! I need to make livery's for this thing while Chuck and Bernt do there thing, so please post your photo's in this thread! I also have two other livery painters testing the paint kit, so hopefully we will hear from them soon!

Looking forward to this... Very First small plane ride at nine years old

A Judge was the Pilot, Police officer Copilot both lived near by and friends of my father

I sat in the back with a full grow Black Lab... he Sat there in the back like it was on a Sunday drive

We landed on a lake and on the Gulf of Mexico then back to the airport

I personally LOVE this one.

TWO problems with it. First, its got the V8 engine rated at 405HP from a Corvette! (Possible option, still looking into it), extended wing tips, and a 3 bladed prop. Second, there was no Seabee's ever in the US armed service. It was proposed to buy 50, but the order was cancled. I may leave this up to the painters since I dont want to field off support E-mails pointing out those "flaws". Gotta love die hard simmers. They will call you on every little detail.
