KCGX´s return?

With the right "palm greasing" and kickbacks, anything can happen in Chicago. Anything but the Cubs winning a World Series. :icon_lol:

In the case of Meigs, it's not just a matter of re-opening or upgrading the airport, it's rebuilding the airport. Only the terminal building, tower and vehicle parking lot remain. The aircraft parking aprons, taxiways and the runway are totally gone. It would cost a bundle to restore what was so easily torn apart. As much as I'd love to see a new Meigs Field serving downtown Chicago, the next mayor would have a hard time coming up with the funding to make it happen.

To add on to that thought, I believe it was closed due to "security concerns". With that being as close as it is to downtown Chicago, I see the point and, unfortunately, cannot argue against it. Much as I think the whole situation was BS, that's not a battle that can be won.

This clip seems to be a little bit related to closure.

In FS9, I've got Meigs, Templehof and Stapleton, along with Greater Fort Worth in FW Texas.

But I'll believe that Meigs will be back when I see it. I still think Daly should be thrown in prison.
