Keep getting fatal error on startup FSX/A

Hi All,

Over the past couple of mouths I keep getting a fatal error when starting FSX\A and the only way to fix it seems to be deleting the FSX.cfg file and letting it generate a new one on start up but this takes out all my key maps and settings does anyone have any suggestions on what could be causing this.

Months makes it hard...but first culprits will be an FSX addon [plane...scenery...etc] that was bad....or good old MS updates that can also hose systems...;)
 
To add the post above, it is always best to have a default flight with the default Cessna
and at somewhere default.
A saved default flight can do as much damage as a corrupt fsx.cfg file and easily stop
FSX from working.
