While waiting for the Columbus County NC airport information, I opened up Skyvector to make a short flight this afternoon. I like to stay out of controlled Class B or C airspace if possible for relaxing afternoon flights and saw KEYF. I always try and get an airport and not use the default which some are 15 years old. No one made this for any of the sims. So...I am. Custom Sketchup Terminal and Hangers. Unlike KCTC, the highway runs right along the airport and has Google Earth Ground Views so I got great screenshots. I finished three hangers this afternoon. Here is a screenshot in Sketchup of one. To keep the size down, I am using textures of the real doors and also the electric panel. Also will have photoreal background with autogen.

I feel like today I suffered a memory loss. I started yesterday working on this airport and when I went to the Sketchup Addons I started finding stuff for KEYF. Searched every one of my flash drives and I had a corrupted drive a year or so ago and this airport must have been on it. Thankfully, SOH to the rescue and I just downloaded the one I made and had a post here about back in April of 2024. Now it's downloaded I will be sure not to lose it. Consequently, I am not going to "reinvent the wheel" so this post is closed. If you would like the airport it's in the Resources. Duh!!!!!!!!!!
 
After locating this and installing in P3D V4.5, I flew out of it yesterday for the first time in a long time. Then on the runway I noticed that the beacon was NOT on top of the grid tower. Not to bore you with the frustration, I located it in my 12bpilot SODE xml folder and proceeded to enter the coordinates using SLEWMASTER as I was taught over at FSDevelopers. An hour and a half later you can see the beacon which Tom Gibson created for me a couple years ago so that it is both time and season visibility sensitive. Note for those who do NOT know, it takes so long because at least for me, you have to shut down and re-start P3D every time you make changes to see the result. I tried reset scenario and it didn't work. Changers were not made. Windsock is fine.23.10.2025_11.33.43_REC.png
