Description: Ki-61-Ib skinpack 1 by UncleTgt.

These are a collection of repaints for the ki-61b Hein by Vladimir Kochmarsky for CFS 2. It can be found at Simviation.

The aircraft in this pack are:

ki-61-Ia (Ko) 37 OTU, Formosa 1945

ki-61-Ib (Otsu) 78 Sentai, PNG 1943

ki-61-Ib (Otsu) Akeno Fighter School, Japan 1944

The repaints are to fit the ki61b model, but I believe with renaming they will fit any of the 3 ki61 models released by Vladimir Kochmarsky (see Simviation, they are ki61a, ki61b, ki61 shinten).

As the only variation seems to be armament changes I have added a new aircraft.cfg file & dp file for each, so you can swap between variants just by copy & paste.

Also includes, kelti prop & exhaust effects added to the dp.

To install, unzip the download and place your chosen files in the correct folder(s) for the ki-61-Ib within the aircraft folder in your CFS2 Main Directory. Back up any originals & replace them with these.

Thanks to:

Vladimir Kochmarsky etc. for the original aircraft. Although it's old it has breaking parts & is a reasonably effective AI opponent.

Kelti for inspiring exhaust effects & prop disks.

Allen for the new smaller Jap bombs.

This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions.

As a painter always working to improve my work I can only express admiration. If you keep raising the bar like this, I'll never catch up. :wavey:

UncleTgt,

I can't say it better than Kurt did...but I understand fully the "early efforts" idea. I have the identical reaction looking at "Ghosts of MB past." :sorrow:
