Kneeboard in FSX

Arggggg, I reinstalled FSX, Acceleration and all that stuff with no problem. All is good.
Used the FSX flight planner to created a route. That's fine; saved it and all. Back in the cockpit and clicked on F10 to bring up the kneeboard; that works just fine but the only problem is there's nothing showing on the kneeboard; no flight plan or any of the other information usually found on it. Any ideas of how to rectify this minor problen?

Regards

Not sure what the problem is, but all native aircraft with this feature included have the knee board but that I do is actually wear knee boards with print outs on it so much easier and much more realistic!

Are you using a stock aircraft or an add-on one? Many add-on aircraft developers are woefully complacent when it comes to creating working kneeboard files. I bet less than 10% of my add-ons came with a working kneeboard and it can be very annoying at times.

The kneeboard info is contained in two HTML files in the aircraft folder namely 'xxx_check.htm' and 'xxx_ref.htm' where 'xxx' = the name of the aircraft folder.

If your aircraft of choice is missing the kneeboard simply copy those files from a default aircraft folder into your problem aircraft main folder, rename to match the new aircraft folder name and then edit the files to add the correct data in a HTML editor of some sort (even Notepad will work at a pinch). Save as a .htm file when updated and you should then have a working kneeboard.

Are you by any chance running IE9 Beta? I am and that's exactly what's happening here. I'm hoping the release or next beta will fix it. Other thing - I hope they put the favorites button back where it was.

Wow Glen! I didn't even think of that one.
Yes I am running the IE9 beta. Yea I don't know who they were using for testers because that "Favorites" button is way out in left field right now.
Good catch on the Kneeboard and IE9 :)

Just a followup. I uninstalled IE9 and am back with IE8. Kneeboard works just fine:salute:
