I've been working on the Harbor for late war attacks on Japan.I found pics of some of the areas and have some of the major ship co-ordinates.

I also have Rabaul and Truk done with ports and ships.

Rabaul Land Class

The boys at AF_Midway had a beta Rabaul made, but I don't think that it was ever posted.

I had to delete many of the buildings from the .lay file to keep frame rates up as the beta was detailed in the extreme. Seems like I added a few ships here and there while testing it.

A few more shots of the outlying airfields, Rapopo and Vunakanau. I believe that these are by Mask Rider. He built several airfields on New Britain and they should still be available in the Library or at his web site (don't have a link: sorry).

I'm reviving this thread to see if anyone has done Kure Harbor scenery.
The BPF's very first sinking of an IJN ship was the IJN Hyuga in shallow waters at N34.01 by E132.33

There are lots of photos of the area.

I have replaced all of the BPF fleet carriers, (VN_) with Stuart's Royal Navy updated carriers.

All are wonderfully done and are nice to view while flying around the fleet.
Those, with his new King George V, Dido Cruisers, and C Class Destroyers make the sim look really nice.

I have almost all of the fighter missions separated out and copied into a set of 12 fighter only missions.

I have completed the first mission of the TF37 attachment to Halsey's third fleet, USN.
As stated in the book, "The Kamikaze Hunters", it is a sight to behold when you fly off and all you see are ships for as far as the eye, (sim) will let you.
Working on cutting back numbers of ships for less powerful PCs.

Over the next couple of days I'll post some screen captures.
BPF TF37 was on the north end of the USN TFs. Carrier TFs were 10 miles apart, and nearly 8 miles around with carriers in the center.
Every 2 hours they turned into the wind as a single unit to fly off and recover aircraft.
They then turned back on predetermined parallel headings as a single unit all along the eastern coast of the Japanese home islands.

For Devildog73's BPF effort, I don't know. I can't recall at the moment if the DEI scenery is Rhumba-based; it may be because I think Onnogras' DEI files are Rhumba-based, and there are additional enhancements that have been done on top of that, especially around Palembang.

As far as what I've been working on, I plan on making an announcement on Friday about beta testers.

This is a consolidation package of GSL Ports released by Talon for the Pacific theatre. In this package, you will find two separate folders which contain the following modifications.

This Post-2008 folder, uploaded in memory of Talon, contains a total of two major Japanese wartime GSL ports that he created for various missions and campaigns that he did over the years, and one American harbor attacked by the Japanese just prior to the Midway raid. The GSL ports found in this folder are Rabaul, Truk, and Dutch Harbor.

One of these GSL ports have not been released before, (Dutch Harbor) and thanks go to Hiede & TheBookie for hanging onto and giving permission to upload this for SOH users. One of the other GSL ports (Rabaul) was modified by Rami to accommodate the updated New Britain scenery by UncleTgt.

This pre-2008 folder, uploaded in memory of Talon, contains a total of nine GSL ports that he created for various missions and campaigns that he did over the years. The GSL ports found in this package include Canton, (China) Hankow, (China) Haiphong, (Indochina) Hong Kong, Kanwaing / Rangoon (Burma) Kure, (Japan) Manila, (Philippines) Port Moresby, (Papua New Guinea) and Taikao. (Formosa)

Two of these GSL ports (Manila and Taikao) have not been released before, and thanks go to both Hiede and TheBookie for hanging onto and giving their permission to upload this for SOH users.

Actually, No, I didn't know.... But just downloaded it.
I will have to go in and remove Xavier's Kure seaplane port, which I was going to do anyway; it doesn't fit with Richard's mesh.
