Labor Day at Plum Isalnd

It was busy at Plum Island Airport this week end. The first picture shows all the alert pilots just waiting for the Klaxon to mount their airplanes. The second picture is of old Joe from Revere. But he keeps his plane up at Lawrence and then flys it to Plum Isalnd. Joe's quite a character, got his ticket at age 71 and still is flying at age 78. His plane is the beautiful Piper Challenger shown. It's immaculate inside and out. I told him I'd see if anyone would be interested in doing his airplane in FSX.
About 1:30 a Waco reported it was on final for the grass runway. He landed and I got a picture of him taxiing past. The last picture shows the Waco in all it's glory.

Great pics of great little GA field, Helldiver-thanks to Bill Womack for doing Plum Island as well!
