Lancaster model

Hi folks,

I was wondering if anybody had any more information than I have on the new 1:32 scale Lancaster model that is being sold in partworks on subscription, through newsagwents. Made of wood and skinned in alloy foil I think the concept looks and sounds fine so far. However, the total for the parts etc. will be nearly $2,000 so I just wondered if anyone had further knowlege or if there is a more economical, faster way to get the kit? Apparently there are 125 issues to collect before you have all the components.

It's a big kit and seems to have plenty of room for superdetailing.

WTF

you wanna build a garaghe around that model?

i guess its not one meant for exposition but to fly it? with electric engines maybe?

No it's a static model..it appears to be highly detailed and there are many white metal castings with it.

Yes I know, hence the question. One would think that one could acquire a complete pack of parts from the manufacturer. Or do you think they're producing as they go? (I would have thought that'd be difficult).
