I had a request for a WAKE EFFECT for this BIG French flying boat ... one of 3 built, I believe. Well ... here she is in all her glory!

Hi, Jagd!

This was created by Jean-Marie Mermaz ... but his link is dead. I contacted the guy I got it from to ask if he'd upload it, so hopefully that will happen soon.

It's a real monster. My only problem is that I cannot "militarize" her properly. I wanted to add a combat DP ... but the lewis guns, bombs, aircrew, and Li-2 turret I was planning to use ... well, they just do not show up.

I had this problem with a Fokker (no .... yes ... pun intended, I guess) years back ... something about the model I guess. My hope would be that someone who knows waaaaay mode than I do would grab this aircraft and dress her for battle.

Hi Bill,
The last time I had this problem it was with an old model Barracuda. I ran the mdl file through a prog called MdlPatchw.exe and the ordnance showed up. I can't remember where I got it, but I have a feeling it was at Simviation. I'll try top track it down for you.

We have some success ...

Well, I ran the model through the patch and I got the flight deck crew and French bombs to show up (see screen shots).

However ... no luck with the LI-2 turret or the lewis guns. I also wanted to mount 2 torpedoes ... but they're a no show as well.

Now, this aircraft is rather a beast in the air ... a real handful, so I'm NOT overly concerned with the torps not showing up ... but the turret and lewis guns sure bother me.

Either of you guys want to take a crack at her?
