To launch the Freeware b-24's

1) Lock brakes

2) start engines

3) Run up engines to FUll Power and hit (w) Wep

4) release brakes

5) at 120mph..Pull up nose, Lower flaps, One setting (25%)

6) Lift off, Raise flaps..Raise gear..And climb..

I have taken off from short fields Loaded with Heavy Bombs loads and had no problems..
Henderson field is a piece of cake..Easy if you follow this method..

The b-24 or any Loaded bomber takes off well for me doing it this way..
Give it a try..

Owen what is the flap setting you are using?

I use the 25% setting, I don't drop the flaps untill the last second, as soon as the B-24 lifts off the ground I raise the flaps..
I keep the flaps UP until I reach 120mph, then drop them 25%
But only long enough to get the bomber airborne..

Works every time for me..
I have not had ANY problem getting even the most underpowered loaded bombers up..
Try it

Some like to feel the aircraft other than read the manuals.

However, Guys, the B-24 manual is a .rar file. Where does that go? Its not in PDF format at all.

.rar is just another way of compressing files. Do the unrar (check the internet for free download unrar files) and you'll see. My pc already came with one.

Thanks Nonato, I got the files transformed into regular zip files thanks to the unrar. Now these, sounds really kick tail!

BTW I don't know who got the B-24 manual assembled, but Kudos! I will take my time and read every part step by step. I should really backtrack to my Kondor manual just as a refresher though...
