To all,

Though these days I don't have as much free time as I'd like, in the next few days (once I write the readme) I will be uploading the fourth pack of layout files for MB users. This will allow you to have ready-made infrastructure layouts, thus the only thing you'll have to concentrate on is the mission itself.

As any experienced MB user knows...placing infrastructure is long, tedious work!

This will give you layout files for the following...

Central London and the docks
Factory complex
Focke-Wulf factory
Hawker aircraft factory
Large oil refinery
Large rail yard
Port of Calais (Both Allied and Axis)
Port of Cherbourg
Port of Dover
Port of Nantes
Port of Portsmouth
Port of Ramsgate
Port of St. Malo
Port of St. Nazaire
Small munitions factory
Small oil refinery

Please note that these are not GSL. These are being uploaded for ETO mission builder users, in the hopes that it will assist any current and future mission writers in making the process less intimidating, because a significant portion of the work will be done for you.

Thanks Rami

Many many thanks to you!:applause::applause:

This will make for a much more richier environment for free flight or QC (no more barren land) and a great step ahead for mission builders.

Another of Santa´s gifts has fallen into my hands!! :jump::jump:And it´s still 3 month for Christmas.

Cheers, Discus

THANK YOU!!!!!

Very interesting pack Rami, thank you so much!

I think I'll try turning the layouts into permanent GSL scenery for my ETO. I only hope they will not affect fps too much.

Cheers!

Layout package III update...

To all,

After writing the readme, (hopefully tomorrow) I'll be uploading a package of airbase layouts which cover airfields I've used in my campaigns under a German flag. There will be a total of sixty-one airbase layouts for the ETO theatre, covering bases in Norway, Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, Romania, Russia, Poland, Austria, and England.

(This also covers some of the 'Frantic' bases)

The Allied airfields will come in due time, I have to make two separate sets, one for 1939-1941 and the other from 1943-1945.

Layout packages I and II progress...

To all,

While I'm on a break between classes...

After going through all of the missions for the Early and Late ETO, (There's only about 550 of them or so) I have the final count for the Allied airfield layouts.

For the Early ETO, there will be fifty-three airfield layouts, in eight countries. (Scotland, Wales, England, Norway, Holland, Belgium, France, and Iceland)

For the Late ETO, there will be sixty-two, because the countries Algeria, Russia, and Italy will be added to the mix.

The readme instructions and the two sets will require some time, so don't expect these right away.

To all,

I dropped the count for the Early ETO down to fifty-two. And, for those who are a tad on the "enthusiastic" side, I am well aware that the aircraft I have stationed at certain bases in England in 1939 and 1940 are likely not correct, so don't send me a PM or e-mail saying that "Hurricanes were not stationed there...or Defiants were actually based at..."

The beauty of layouts is...if you KNOW that information, you can hand-edit the layouts and get them so they're historically accurate. I have all the early layouts done, I just have to find time to write the readme.

The first package of airfield layouts are now uploaded. These are for your early-war scenarios, and as such center on areas west of Germany, including Norway, Iceland, the Orkneys, Wales, Scotland, England, France, Belgium, and Holland. I hope you enjoy!

Please note: I had to alter the readme after the original upload, due to the fact that I forgot to provide a link to and instructions for the BoB airfields by Gary Burns in the original upload.

Malta......

Rami, not that yer busier than a one armed paper hanger in a windstorm, but.....are there any layouts available for Malta?

Cheers!

Alpha_1,

Nothing that I would upload publicly. :redf:

Why doesn't you grab your tropical gear, your engineers, and head down to Malta? I have confidence in you.
