The colours of the Republican Spanish markings look good now. However aircraft with the late marking might have had red wing tips.
I thought this was common in the late scheme, but I must confess I'm not an expert in this topic.
Thanks again for doing this model and I still hope for a Dewoitine D-510......

Me too, i am not a specialist but i did these paints from "profiles" found in the net.
I have some projects after completion of this one. I was planning (better said wondering about) Spad 510, Hanriot HD2 (With the very first french attempt to a carrier at late WWI) and of course the Dewoitine D-510. But, a version FS9 was done and also CFS2, Xplane. I have some good documentation for her but a new version may be not appropriate.
And more, i am still working on the Levasseur PL101.
Sound and fly model are still in progress of completion for the Nieuport.

Because I wanted to a repaint for Craig Richardson's old Dewoitine D.500, I needed to draw a new "singing and fighting rooster". Much to my surprise I saw the rooster has changed quite a bit over the years:
The rooster as it looked during the First World War.
The rooster as it looked around 1935 (as seen on the Dewoitone D.500 from Lt.Col Galliot de Turenne in 1935.
The rooster as it looked at the Dewoitine D.510 No.348 from GC I/1 2nd Escadrille in 1939.
And the current looks of the singing and fighting rooster.
As you can see I did spend most of my day drawing roosters........(I don't think I can explain this to my wife!)
And all his just to bump the thread and ask Gaston whether there is any progress to report...................

You are right! The rooster had a lot of variations since 1915. To day the "SPA 48" is the second squadron of "ETD 4/3 Argonne" flying the Mirage 2000D.
We are finalizing (JM RENAUX for the sound, JP BOURGEOIS for the fly model) the Ni-D62. She will be out sooner...i hope!

Don't be too modest about your models Gaston as there is absolutely no reason for it. And I'm convinced you can do the D.500 more justice. You have already tackled the complex nose of the ND-62, which is reasonably similar to the nose of the D.510. I think that's the part Craig was struggling with.
And I'm convinced your model would have French instruments. Where Craig's versions is definitely the US export version as all instruments are default US instruments
.When you want information about the D.500/D.510, I have already a start as when Craig did his beautiful He-51 for FSX, he also considered to do the D.500/D.510. But while I talked him into the He-51 (which I don't regret as it is a stunning model), I already started to collect information about the Dewoitine, "just in case".
But I'm just teasing a bit, but thanks when you would like to take my humble request in consideration...

A big thank you! Most likely you already have some of these, but I have the book "Dewoitine D.500 - D.510 from the "Les Ailes de Gloire" serie. I also have the original plans and "eratta" which came with it.
In the "Aéro Journal"of December 2001 - January 2002 there is a 8 page long article about the export version of de D.501/D.520. But even (much) better, in the "Aéro Journal" of December 2004 January 2005 there is a 29 page (!) long article about the French used Dewoitines D.500/D.510s. The article contains lots of usable date and drawings.
I have both for you if you like.
I'm convinced I must have more, but this is what I could find immediately.
In the FS2004 screenhot thread I already tried to explain why I think this aircraft is really special. But flush riveted in the early 1930's already is only one of the neat features from this aircraft.
