LeMay Car Museum - Your Trash To His Treasure

...Just a guess: The museum is named after Curtis LeMay? Reading his biography, "LeMay",...I knew he was an active sports car road racing fan plus setting up circuits at Sebring with fellow SAC members.

Curtis Le May opened up many SAC bases for sports car racing until genuine road course became available, rather like the Poms using all the derelict airfields that were leftovers from WW2.
IIRC Alec Ullman was the man behind Sebring, asisted by enthusiasts like Briggs Cunningham and the Colliers.
LeMay was well aware of the value of PR generated by his sports car interest.
Shame he lost the plot in the 60s ........ :173go1:
