First up RAF B-24D

As you can see the pit hasn't had any paint yet, more schemes will follow!

It is a Great looking B-24..
BRAVO..

Actually, the first LB-30s were ordered by the French. They ordered 165 LB-30MF aircraft in April 1940. They did not of course see service with the French, but as with so many aircraft, most of them were delivered to the RAF as Liberator MkIIs. The first Liberators to arrive though were ex-USAAC YB-24/LB-30A and B-24A aircraft, which became Liberator MkIs, although they were considered as part of the French order. The LB-30As were not very useful as bombers, as they had none of the safety equipment they would have needed, such as self-sealing fuel tanks. Most went to Coastal Command or ATFERO.

Beautiful! It's not my usual reaction, but I think I'd better get sharpening my MG151s...

This is awesome. might even take a day off from work to play wih this when released. i ove the olivd drab

OMG, this is one inspirational aircraft. I wouldn't like to be a U-boat near this Lib. I'd better clear the decks at St Eval for a bunch of missions. John and Ted, just from these screenies, I think you've surpassed the Cat (oh yes! It's not heresy).
