Liberty ship installation

hello,
trying to install the Liberty ship by Phil Crowther for cfs2 with no luck,i've even added the name to the Model list .the folder has the usual sound panel texture cfg and dp files , i did not modify the titles , just added the model folder from the zip .This object is a requirement in maskriders salomon scenery.

..take a close look at the .dp file names. I had the same problem but notice that the .dp read "liberty_ship" instead of " liberty ship" (quotation marks are mine for display reasons). I changed it and no longer get that "can't find liberty ship model" etc.
 
Open the MODEL folder and rename the mdl file "Liberty_ship.mdl" exactly. Then open the model.cfg in the same folder and edit the name "Liberty ship" to "Liberty_ship" exactly:

normal=Liberty Ship >>> change to >>> Liberty_ship

FYI: with every ship, the mdl name and the name in the model.cfg title have to match the title name in the ship.cfg as well as the dp or you'll have problems every time they attempt to load. Make sure to delete the CDP file.

pls take a look at the images and comment.I included all the jpg's that came in the zip to info folder and deleted the model list insert i did earlier,i think its useless..I did my own tinkering as you can see in ship CFG and deleted all the extra on top of the DP file

the model wont load having done what Bearcat said so i then tried tinkering with the ship config and folder name , there is nowhere else to go.

thanks !!!! i see from your folders i was very close including the ship config mods.Strange i had no cdp file in my copy.The folder name is the same as my changes except for the under _ in between .
 
Yes all of the names have to match even the "_"

The CDP is made when the ship or aircraft is used. CDPs are almost never included as the game makes them.
