AvHistory file section project

I think this is probably aimed at Rami, but it needs to be public too.

Could we please have a specific AvHistory section in the Warbirds Library, broken into two clearly marked subsections, one for current 4.XX FM aircraft (AvH prefix), and one for the older 2.XX models (3US, 3GB, 3GR, etc, prefix)?

We would then be able to upload the AvH aircraft we have, ourselves. Only the original packages would be acceptable - so not unzipped and zipped back up. Only the "as issued" packages. Alternatively, upload access might be restricted to a selected number of recognised members, in order to make sure things stay "pure" - your call.

I have permission from Bear for this, but gregoryp has not yet replied. I expect there are good reasons for that which do not concern us, so I'd like to push on in the expectation that he will agree when he has the opportunity.

My apologies to ndicki for not responding to this earlier! I will of course open up an AvHistory section for you guys. In addition, I'm doing a little expansion and cleaning up of your library tonight, I'd imagine you'll be pleased with the results, come morning.

At the request of ndicki to create an AvHistory section, I took an opportunity to give you all a much more organized library section which should make things easier to find.

The following categories were created...

CFS 3 Missions
CFS 3 Campaigns
CFS 3 AvHistory Add-ons (With the two sub-sections that were requested)

The Aircraft and Skins sections have also been subdivided into several categories...French, Russian, British, American, German, Japanese, and Other.

Everything has been moved into its proper place.

I hope this proves sufficient for you. If you have any other comments, requests, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to post in this thread or PM me.

In case I didn't make it clear, you may commence uploading of AvHistory files at once, provided they are in their original form. Please make sure they go to the appropriate section, please.

To all others - Please ensure that you load up to the AvHistory section ONLY the ORIGINAL zip files - no files which you have unzipped and rezipped. This is essential in order to ensure that everything remains fully compatible. Equally, please make sure that 4.XX FM aircraft (AvH tag) go in the 4.XX FM section, and 2.XX FM ones (3GB, 3GR, 3US, etc) go into their area.

As AvHistory themselves did not provide "for info" screenshots, I'm inclined to say that adding these is unnecessary, and will slow down the initial upload process. Thanks to the new system however, they can be added at a later date if required.

Might as well get started!
 
Alright in interest of keeping the duplicate uploads to a minimum, I just uploaded these files (I have all of the AVhistory Pages listed like this on my HD) I'll do another page in the morning:

After all we lost here I started doing this for every remaining site that deals in CFS3 (that I know of) I could totally (except missions, if they had them) rebuild that AVHistory up to Feb 17 of this year.
