Light Weapons as Infrastructure

This probably sounds like a mad idea. I have been trying to find a way to place machine guns as infrastructure in a Lay. So far no success. I've thought of changing family and category numbers in the weapon DP but that would make the gun unplaceable in an aircraft. Is there a way to place MGs at or just above ground level?

Are none of the existing flak guns any use? You can place a 50 cal AA...

Or are you chasing the fidelity of a ground mounted Vickers/Maxim...(plus crew)?

Next question, as targets or as AA? Manned or unmanned?

Nothing in the WW1 troops that would suit?

OK, I get the drift.
Actually I was thinking of trying to reproduce a line of 30mm AA guns from 1917. I suppose I could use the Vickers Machine Gun on tripod. I was just wondering why weapons like Allen's Parabellum MG don't show up in the mission builder.

The Parabellum MG is set up in the DP like a weapon pylon. This means it is not viable in MB or viable in the aircraft select screen as weapon like bombs and rockets.

Changing the DP MISC_DATA data to make it show up in MB will probably be no good as half if not all of the the Parabellum will be underground because of the way it was made.
