Now that was interesting. I was wondering why the extreme effort to remove the fractured rock, until seeing the road below and the anti-ballistic "rock net" that was designed to protect the road traffic.

I would guess, to remove all the smaller debris. I have broken-up concrete with a wreaking ball. I would think it would take a lot of practice to manage all the momentum of the wreaking ball to do that with a helicopter. Cool Video.
