Like wind whistling through your wires?? Have a look here...

That looks pretty sweet thanks for posting the link as I'm waiting for the download to finish as we speak. I love flying all types of aircraft in FSX and this looks t obe a nice relaxing flight over the country. Being a city boy I mean county as in not a cross country flight but rather a flight over a wooded area away from the bustling city life.

Thanks for the HU, Roger, it's a sweet little aircraft! Some great details in there, including the wing warping, the transparency of the wings and the visible inner structure. The engine is simulated well for an old radial with the typical on/off power settings.

lol, I love the "kneeboard" located in front of the pilot. You could keep a lot of stuff in there besides just a map. . .a sandwich, cup a java, your wallet, pictures of your sweetheart. I like it!!:salute:

you know, back then, those pilots either had no idea of the risks, or they were the gutsiest guys on the planet. i'll let you decide which. either way, it's maximum coolness

Euhmmm I tried to cross the channel in such a model once. It took me twenty attempts to manage it. That Bleriot guy was either a very talented pilot or very lucky......

Nice screenies Roger!

Cheers,
Huub

Thanks Huub!

You'd get across in this Chavez model...it was modified with a 50 hp Gnome Omega motor.

Yes, thanks for the info Roger, going to make for an interesting excursion. I pray anybody who attempts the Alps trip checks their aircraft before they fly, I'd hate to lose a fellow SOH member due to a structural failure on landing! It seems Jorge Chávez is one of the forefathers of the 'Panther'. Long may he RIP.

That is quite the amazing kite. I can't imagine even the thought of being in the air in one. Although, it's a giant leap forward for things aloft. The wing covering almost looks like rice paper. And all the guy wires makes me wonder how long it too them to get the wing surfaces dialed in, balanced for roll and stability. I can almost picture something like a sprocket type crank on each inner side of the cockpit that could be adjusted for more or less lift.

Crazy times for sure.

Outstanding workmanship for a flightsim model

Bleriot
