Hey guys,
She just went into the FSX Gmax zone, getting outfitted with bump maps and various FSX effects. The FS9 version is almost finished, perhaps 90% or more. Not testing these as of yet.
Some of the new updates will be;
* Improved airfiles that allow you to flare better and drop into dirt strips
* Complete interior overhaul from the skin inward
* Totally new panel with all 'actual' graphics and layouts, (good for Kodiak student pilots)
* Garmin system will be the Epics G900X (seems easier for people to manage, was requested by many)
* S-Tec Fifty Five X Autopilot
* Cool dirt/dust effects for dirt strip takeoffs, developed by world famous FS guru Milton Shupe (gets 'wayyyy' cool landing and taking off on dirt strips)
* Totally redone Power Console tower, includes light mapping and moderate texturing
* New 'cool' popups such as the switch panel and power console
* New 'revised' lighting system that doesnt use Strobes, now has; panel lights mode, front dome light in pilots cabin area, and rear multiple cabin dome lights powered seperately.
* New sky stair door, (clam shell style) with unfolding steps
* New composite floats for the amphibian model, dual main gears, proper retractable water rudders, improved water rudder turning input.
* New cargo model with tons of cargo in her
* New Rescue model has a patient in the gurney and tons of electronics and medical duffel bags throughout
I would say its been 6 to 7 months of work. Its had my pulling my hair out at times, my eyebrows have gone through some stressed metamorphis's that scare me, but its paying off. Good to see her in FSX with proper FSX chrome on her.
So for now, its the S word... I wish I was faster at this.. Seems like the more I learn, the more there is to do, the faster I get only helps me to slightly keep up with all the more work to put into these... arrgh..
