Little River Band concert this Friday, near me....

I am really looking forward to seeing the "Little River Band" this Friday night, in Franklin, NC (about 1 1/2 hours from me).

Years ago (1979), they performed in Indianapolis, at the Convention Center, promoting their "First Under The Wire" LP.

I was their chauffeur for two days, and they were very friendly! They invited me to join them for lunch, the afternoon before the concert, following their sound checks. On the night of the concert, someone had flattened one of the limousine's tires. The band members didn't mind at all. They said, "No problem, mate", and walked the two blocks to their hotel!

This will be great, seeing them perform after so many years.

Enjoy the concert! I saw them in Tucson in the 80's, and they are an excellent band. Hopefully, they'll do some of their classic hits like "Lady" and "Cool Change"...

Still one of my most favorite bands.
Glad you'll get to hear their music live again.
They are going to be around the area here locally a few times this year while on tour, so hopefully I may get a chance to hear them too.

(1983 Melbourne concert. John Farnham singing "Cool Change" instead of Glenn Shorrock, who had left the band at this point. Still an awesome version.)

Huh....I knew Shorrock was still doing the occasional performances on the club scene. Didn't know they still had an LRB formed.:australia:

They were just up by me ( about 2 hrs away), but unfortunately we couldn't make it.
They seem to come around every couple years. Maybe next time.
