Looking for a few german weapons...

Huy guys,

Sorry for making a pest of myself with the repeated weapons requests but some things just can't be helped!

I am currently installing Canion's(?) HS_129 Series package and get the following missing weapons messages:

wep_gr_4x-mg_17
wep_ge_50kg_gp
wep_gr_mk_101
wep_gr_c-rack_4x50
wep_gr_c-rack_1x250
wep_gr_mk_103

Thanks!
MR

PS I googled on a couple of them and came up with an old thread here SOH that said these weapons could be found in Part 3 of The Classic Aces Fw190D9 Package supposedly somewhere here in the archives. I couldn't find it.

Chris,

I was able to locate the weapons package, but the majority of what you are looking for is not in there.

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=17&id=4713

However, and this is the odd part...the weapons .bgl file for Canion's aircraft is almost 100kb, and it includes textures for the two gun weapons. And if you read the .dp files, the gunstations have the weapons data, and it substitutes for a .dp file. How he did that is beyond my knowledge, but it works.

I have attached the 50kg bomb, but I don't have the 250kg. Maybe someone else has the other .dp files, and if they do, I can update the package in the library.

Canion's Weps

Hi Guys,

I think this one should cover it. They were in an older simtech installer.

David,

Forget a virtual beer. I owe you a virtual case of beer! Thank you from me, I didn't have any of those! :very_drunk:

My pleasure Drew. I'm not 100% sure, but most likely it came from crashwoody's original website.

BTW, if it's no problem I'd prefer some virtual steak and eggs. With hash browns. On the crispy side.
Oh yeah...Texas toast. mmmm

Rami, Dave,

Thanks guys!

Rami,

Thanks for the note about the guns and the DP. When I installed HS_129 Series package I was excited to see in the screenshot below (included with the pack) this big old honkin' cannon sticking out from under the nose of one of the ACs.

But, alas, it wasn't visually present in the sim. :censored:

Also the ACs, mosts of them, in the sim show flashes coming from under the fuselage when pressing the trigger, but again no guns were visually present. All of the AC had smooth flat underbellies from stem to stern.

Your note got me thinking that I must have missed something so went back into the archive and searched for "canion". Came up with the Canion_Hs129_Optional_DPs package. Got that loaded up and now all of the nice big guns and cannon are present.

Sweeet!

:triumphant:

Chris

BTW, I've really been having fun the last couple of weeks populating my hangars with lots of the wonderful AC made for the ETO and MTO. I had never really paid that much attention before.

Thanks to everyone involved with making these beautiful birds happen over the years! :icon29:

They look and fly just fine out here in the PTO!
