Hey all,
I recently re-installed CFS2 on a computer I just inherited. I had originally intended it to be a stock install because that's what I believe they use over at the Kalamazoo Air Zoo in their full-motion simulator.:cost1:
I then realized that I could still have CFS2 the way I want it and still use it as good practice (besides last time I was there I could fly a P-80 and I KNOW that's not a stock aircraft).

Anyway, I am trying to find a file from way back when. It was called 'deadpalm' and installing it would let us destroy palm trees in CFS2. Anyone remember this? Better yet anyone know where I can get it?

BTW, not much in the way of mods...yet. I am really liking Paul Rebuffat's Bf 109's though (that Bf109F-2 from JG3--Lutzow's ride--WOW. I have the FS9 conversion as well and it gets a lot of flight time there too)

Well I don't have it but you can do it your self.

Go to the CFS2 folder than OBJECTS_DP. In OBJECTS_DP open the inf_palm_tree.dp with notepad/wordpad and change the [SYSTEMS] from

[SYSTEMS]
system.0=%system_name.0%,150000,-1
system.1=%system_name.1%,150000,-2

[SYSTEMS]
system.0=%system_name.0%,150,-1
system.1=%system_name.1%,150,-2

Once done save the DP. Than find and delete the inf_palm_tree.CDP
in the OBJECTS_DP. It should be above or below the DP you just edited.

Now you can mow down some trees!

Thanks Allen, I'll give it a go. I couldn't find the .cdp file but there's a chance it wasn't created yet; I haven't tried shooting at trees yet in this install.

Hum... I thought it would have been made the first time FF, QC or any other would have made it.
